Safe Haven provides embeds your booking link into our membership platform, so Safe Haven members don't have to leave our website to book a session for you. This is extremely important for liability purposes. Please read the two important notes below before watching the video.
❗️NOTE: You must have a Professional Plan (currently $12/month) on Calendly to receive payments via PayPal or Stripe. Ensure your Calendly Professional Plan is active to retain the payment integration on your booking link. Failure to do so will result in your removal from the Safe Haven directory. Your uninterrupted presence in our network is vital to continue offering your valued services to our community.
❗️IMPORTANT: The booking link you create should NEVER be publicly shared with anyone (not even Safe Haven members). Sharing the booking link publicly can create liability issues on our end. If you want to share your booking information, share your Safe Haven profile, which can be accessed by searching your name in the Safe Haven healers directory (unless your account is "On Hold"). This forces people to have to authenticate as active, Safe Haven members before booking sessions with you.

This documentation will guide you through the process of creating a new event in Calendly with the required "Safe Haven ID" field. The event you will create is titled "Safe Haven Session." Please follow the step-by-step instructions below:
Accessing Calendly
Visit the Calendly website by typing "calendly.com" in the address bar. If you have an existing Calendly account, click "Log In" and enter your credentials. Otherwise, click "Sign Up" to create a new account.
Creating a New Event
Once logged in, you will be directed to your Calendly dashboard.
Click on the "+ Create" > "Event type" to create a new event.
Then, click "One-on-One"
Configuring the Event Details
Now you just need to enter the event details. Use the details below to configure your event details appropriately.
Event Name: Safe Haven Coaching Session
Location: You can set this to Zoom, Teams or Google Meet. It's your preference. Please remember all Safe Haven sessions must be conducted virtually via a video conference.
Description/Instructions: You can leave this blank or add any instructions you may have.
Event Link: sh-coaching-session
Event Color: This is your choice.
Your event details should look like the image below. Then, click "Next"
Next, you need to set the duration and schedule for the event. Use the details below to schedule the availability of the event.
Date Range: 60 calendar days
Duration: 60 min
How do you want to offer your availability for this event type?: You need to set this to an existing schedule you've already created in Calendly or set custom hours. For more information on how to set an existing schedule, read the article: How to create working hours with Calendly schedules
Want to add time before or after your events: Set After event to 15 min. This will give you time in between each session in case you have back-to-back sessions on certain days.
Your event availability should look like the image below. Then, click "Next"
You're almost done creating the form. All you need to do now is add the Safe Haven ID field and a way to collect payments.
Adding the "Safe Haven ID" Field
Scroll down to the "Additional Options" section and click "Invitee Questions"
Click on the "+ Add New Question" button to add a new question field.
Set the Question name to "Safe Haven ID". Check the "Required" box and set the Answer Type to One Line like shown in the image below.
Click "Apply" to add the "Safe Haven ID" field to your event. Your event questions should look like the image below.
Collecting Payments
Scroll down to the "Collect Payments" section and click it to edit the Information.
Click "Accept payments with Stripe" or "Accept payments with PayPal" depending on which you have set up in your Calendly account. For more information on how to collect payments in Calendly, read the article(s): How to connect Stripe to Calendly and How to connect PayPal to Calendly. You only need to configure one.
Set the Amount to be collected to $75.00 like shown in the image below and click "Save & Close"
Add the booking link to your Safe Haven healers profile
Now that your form is updated with the appropriate details, you can add it to your Safe Haven healers profile.
Click the "Share" button on the top right and then click "Copy Link".
❗️IMPORTANT: Make sure your link starts with "https://"
Your link should look something like this https://calendly.com/calendly_username/sh-coaching-session
Click the following link to edit your Safe Haven healers profile. Scroll down to "Booking Information" > click the purple link that says "Change Booking Information" > input the link you copied from Calendly starting with "https://" and click "Save"
That's it! You have now completed the process of creating a new event in Calendly with a mandatory "Safe Haven ID" field.
